Civil Rights and College Tour to Atlanta
Just wrapped up an incredible high school Civil Rights and College Tour to Atlanta and Alabama! Our trip began in Atlanta, where we visited amazing colleges like Emory University, Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University. And of course, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to explore the rich history of the civil rights movement in Montgomery with visits to the National Center for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum. A quote from the Legacy Museum stood out to us all, “We stand on the shoulders of many who did so much more with so much less. We resolve to honor their legacy and continue the struggle.” These powerful sites allowed us to reflect on the sacrifices made by individuals who fought for equality and justice.
