Participation in our Summer Surge program, which includes 90 minutes each of online math and reading programming per week, is required for fall enrollment.

Legacy Saturday Academy is an academic enhancement program that runs weekly during the academic year from 9 am – 2 pm at the University of Hartford. Scholars receive tailored instruction in core subjects as well as the opportunity to participate in our outings and excursions. We are a private, voluntary academic enhancement program open to interested students and families who accept our invitation to enroll and participate with our program at no cost (except specific contributions required for various activities). There are no GPA requirements to enroll, however, we have the highest expectation of student engagement and behavior with a positive learning attitude.

In order to maximize the benefits offered by the Legacy Foundation and society, students and parents must engage and commit time, energy and resources that match the offering program, organization, or school. At Legacy, engagement and commitment is exhibited by having consistent and on time attendance. Students and families are also asked to contribute 20-25 hours of volunteer time to charitable agencies in the area as part of their enrollment.
