At The Legacy Foundation, we believe that ‘Talent is Universal, Opportunities are Not’
Following this motto, we aim to give as much exposure to our Legacy scholars as possible. The opportunities that we participate in are focused on learning and fun! Some of the highlights of our trips include:
  • Washington, D.C. April vacation week which visited historical museums and monuments, as well as multiple HBCU schools and an MLB game (2017)
  • Annual Legacy Ski Trip
  • Field trips to see local theatre productions and movies
  • Ice skating
  • Day trip to NYC to visit the Brooklyn Bridge, following a hands-on project that students completed in Science
  • Go Cart racing that relates to the speed, distance, and time formula taught in Math
  • Multiple visits to Colleges and Universities
  • Hosting NYT best selling author Angie Thomas for a book conversation about ‘The Hate U Give’
There is always a variety of experiences that students have the opportunity to engage in, and we hope to continue expanding their interests and exposures to new things! Please follow our Facebook page to stay up to date with more events.
